first ever diving suit was made by john lethbridge (1710)
his suit was a barell like suit to hold only one human. there was a round glass caseing around where the face is so that the person in side can see out of it. there would be two holes on each side of the barell for your arms to grab what every that person needed to grab. the barell would be held with to metal rings that would rap around it and a rope would in side of the two metal rings. |
| these diving suits over the years have rapidly upgraded. we have went from a barell suit to an actuall big robotic tech diving suit that it bigger then most of them. by the time it was late 1800s early 1900s people had made the diving suits we know today such as the round metal helmets with the glass for the metal bars on it. now just right before this there was andrew becker who created a giant with metal suit that look like it had jacked arms. it was like the metal one we know today but insted it was bigger it almsot kindof reminds me of the michelin man. then in 1837 there was a guy named agustsus siebe. he was the guy who invented those diving suits we all know and love. and now by modern day we have atmospheric diving suits or rigid diving suits is another way to call it. |
